CATS

Peterkin was adopted around 1984 with us and spent many years being a comfort to the sick sisters. He had many friends around the building and enemies too! Thomas the ginger tom was his no.1 rival. He spent about 16 years at the abbey and brought fun to the sisters with his various antics! He died suddenly early last year, then almost immediately Tabby appeared on the scene.

Peterkin

Tabby is a black, brown & white tabby cat who appeared from nowhere but has made Colwich her home. She came to us around February last year very timid and afraid but with persistant patience she was won over and now trusts a very limited amount of people. She is so friendly. She spends time outside in the summer but in the winter may be allowed inside to keep warm!

Peterkin was initially taken on to do work around the building, that is mousing and looking after the sick but where other creatures were concerned he sometimes thought it was more like a game. Tabby is a good mouser and bird catcher, almost too good.
